When I stumbled upon the thumbnail of this piece, I immediately felt the urge of full-viewing it due to all the mix of colours and characters. When I pressed the full-view button, I was amazed at the amount of details and at the amount of characters!
I simply love the way you coloured this beautiful scene. The mixture of colours create an amazing visual effect. All the shadows and textures really fit this piece's concept as well.
Every character's expression is so well-done, I especially enjoy both cat's expressions as well as the Mad Hatter's.
The background is perfect. Fits the scene and has as much of detail as all the characters.
I honestly don't know what more to say. I LOVE this work and wish you the best of luck for the contest.
xperd0 completely stole the opening words of my comment right from my mouth. This is an exquisite competition due to it's diversity in color and texture. The artist took the theme of the contest and really brought it to life adding his on spin to wonderland. Surly this leaves viewers in wonderment.
There is a lot going on with this piece but what it lacks from one main focal point, it makes up with character and emotion. I love the portrayal of the Queen of hearts not only having her extremely large head, but being the largest of the characters in general.
Here the user took the originality of the movie and places such a spin on things to make it original yet again. The colors are vibrant and eye catching along with the excellent display of emotions. This is a piece for all to see!
One of the reasons I like this work is that you stepped away from the traditional look of Alice and the characters. Your Cheshire Cat does not have stripes instead it is a calico and your Mad Hatter looks a lot younger than what you usually see. The composition is really good too, well balanced with a lot of action going on throughout the whole painting. The colors make the whole thing come alive. What a great job you did on this piece. You should be proud of yourself. Good luck in the contest.
I love absolutely just love the style of this drawing! It's very childish, of course, what Alice in Wonderland should basically be. You've really been able to balance out the layout of the characters and the setting. I had to take a little longer to realize where the dormouse was though, o.O' (haha). It's a very nice illustration that I would definately want to see in a children's book. <3
THis is a is definitely a unique picture. I become more and more amazed as I write this, and continue to take in all the details here! I think your deserves the win, out of all the pieces I've seen for the contest. I love Absolon's (the catterpillar) laundry hanging out there. I love little Alice, hanging onto the character in the center. Everything about this is just well done! The coloring is superb. And I love the little white rabbit!
